I’ve found lately that my interest in music has wavered.
I no longer have a specific band that I can turn to for weeks on end, which is then cycled out with another.
This is probably thanks to my lack of ease of access to music. For a while I was using what the underground called… well I can’t think of a funny name that’s fitting.
I was going to make that up because I don’t want it going on record that I illegally downloaded music.
It’s not that I necessarily support (or not) the less than legal distribution of music without proper currencies changing hands, but it’s easy. I don’t do it because it’s free, I do it because there’s no hassle.
If there was a CD/record store in my town that wasn’t barnes and nobles I would prooobably buy a lot more music.
and iTunes sucks.
If I enjoy music, then I will pay for it.
Back to the main thing! I’ve been getting tired of music. I never seem to have enough space on my ipod but I also never seem to want to listen to anything on my ipod…
I have listened to the same songs too many times. I find myself not wanting to listen to anything at all. But at the same time I long for that silence-filler.
But not exactly filler because filler implies that it’s garbage. It’s not welcome, but we don’t know what’s exactly supposed to be there to begin with.
That’s why cowboy bebop and ghost in the shell are not FILLER shows. We enjoy this “filler”. This “filler” has actual content, it’s filled with character development, it’s filled with well written stories.
HOLY FUCK MY TANGENTS ARE GOING WILD.
But maybe they’re still relevant.
I can’t find time to watch anime either. I claim to love these shows, but it’s so hard to watch them… I still have to finish season two of GITS, the last couple episodes of Princess Tutu, fuggin’ Xam’d, Heat Guy J, Cowboy Bebop for that matter, and countless others.
and I’m pickin’ up K-Drama’s like it’s nobody’s business.
and here I end. I’m satisfied with this.
I poured a bit of my mind into the internet and I’ll see what happens when nothing happens because of it…
